Organic American Reclaimed Tobacco Oak was previously floor and siding boards for tobacco drying barns in the Southeastern U.S. Reclaimed wood from tobacco curing barns was well maintained because tobacco was such a cash crop in America. The antique wood provided conditions that made for a good cure of the tobacco leaf also helped preserve the oak siding. Organic American Tobacco will have a partially milled face which leaves some of the original weathering and texture; when we mill the floor we target about half of the surface area to be original with the other half milled; this process creates beautiful distinctions between the original weathered wood and the newly milled bright wood; with this mixture of appearances. The Organic American Tobacco Oak floor can anchor a variety of design motifs from rustic to refined.
